ASSISTANT FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER
The Raintree Club of Kuala Lumpur is looking for an experienced and dynamic Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our team.

Department: Food & Beverage
Salary: From RM6,000 per month
Reports To: General Committee & Deputy General Manager
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager will assist in overseeing the overall operations and performance of the Club’s Food & Beverage Department, covering the Coffee House, Teratai Bar, Karaoke Lounge, Banquet & Function Operations, and Club Events.
The role is responsible for ensuring excellent service standards, smooth daily operations, staff development, member satisfaction, revenue growth and effective cost control. The position will also work closely with the Club’s outsourced caterer to maintain consistent food quality, service standards and food safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of all Food & Beverage outlets and services.
- Ensure high standards of service, food quality, hygiene, cleanliness and presentation.
- Lead, coach and develop the F&B team through structured training and continuous performance feedback.
- Manage restaurant, bar, banquet and event operations.
- Work closely with the outsourced caterer to monitor food quality, menus, service delivery and compliance with agreed standards.
- Handle member feedback and complaints professionally and ensure effective service recovery.
- Develop and implement F&B promotions, seasonal events and festive dining programmes.
- Drive banquet and function sales and support initiatives to increase member participation and revenue.
- Monitor sales, departmental performance, food & beverage costs and labour productivity.
- Assist with departmental budgets, forecasts and monthly financial performance reviews.
- Monitor inventory, stock movement, stock takes and procurement requirements.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, hygiene, licensing and Club requirements.
- Prepare operational, sales and performance reports and monitor departmental KPIs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma/Degree in Food & Beverage Management, Hospitality Management, Hotel Management or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant F&B experience, preferably with supervisory or management experience.
- Strong experience in restaurant, bar, banquet and event operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service and member-oriented mindset.
- Good knowledge of F&B cost control, inventory management and operational procedures.
- Experience in staff training, coaching and team development.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work flexible hours, weekends and public holidays when required.
- Experience in a private members’ club, hotel or premium hospitality environment would be an advantage.
